Here is some important information for the season.
1. Bring water to practice everyday!!
2. Keep hydrated throughout the day…drink lots of water! You should drink as many ounces of water that equals half your body weight. (If you weigh 100lbs then you should drink 50oz of water a day)
3. Bring proper running shoes to practice everyday. You should not be running in anything except shoes made specifically for running. Specialty running stores in the area include Snails Pace in Brea, and Fleet Feet in Rancho Cucamonga.
4. It would be a good idea to get a wrist watch to keep track of the amount of time you have been running. It doesn't have to be too fancy.
5. Work ethic is very important. The summer program builds the base for your entire season. Everyday that you don’t run, you lose the fitness level you built up. It is vital to practice everyday. Make the commitment!
